Not all high temperature processes require a pressurized or closed loop system. In fact, in many applications, an open tank configuration is the most efficient and reliable solution.

So when does it make sense?

When your process allows working at low pressure
Open tank systems are ideal when no pressure is needed, simplifying installation and reducing mechanical stress on components.

What needs to be taken into account?
Working with thermal oil involves managing expansion, volume variation, and fluid degradation — especially when approaching or exceeding 150°C. These factors directly impact performance and maintenance.

What if your process exceeds these limits?
For higher temperatures, greater control or more demanding conditions, it may be necessary to resort to more advanced solutions such as our SMART 6 range.

With thermal oil, MARSE systems reach up to about 300 degrees, covering processes that water cannot handle. We see it in oil at 300 degrees.
