MARSE temperature control units in chemical reaction clean rooms and the aerospace sector

Contents

MARSE temperature control units work in highly demanding environments: clean rooms with chemical reactors, pharmaceutical plants and the aerospace sector, among others. These are applications where temperature determines not only product quality but also process safety.

Temperature control units for clean rooms: what MARSE equipment brings

In a clean room, every piece of equipment has to fit into a clean, orderly and controlled environment. Our temperature control units offer clear advantages in this type of installation:

  • Precise, stable control: PID heating and cooling control with auto-tuning, to hold the setpoint without oscillation.
  • Closed circuits: with our pressurised water and closed-circuit oil technologies, the fluid operates without any contact with the room atmosphere.
  • Compact units: on castors, with the display and main switch on the front, easy to position next to the reactor and easy to maintain.
  • Traceability: real-time graphs of temperature, pressure and flow rate, alarms, USB data transfer and connectivity with the plant (OPC UA, RS-485 and 4–20 mA).

Chemical reactions: the temperature curve, under control

In a jacketed reactor, the temperature control unit has to heat to start the reaction and cool as soon as the reaction releases heat, following the temperature profile of each batch. It can also be fitted with a pressure kit that keeps the jacket within its maximum allowable pressure, with a frequency-controlled pump, an expansion vessel and automatic air vents.

Aerospace sector: high, uniform temperatures

In aerospace, temperature control units regulate the temperature of moulds and tooling – for example in the manufacture of composite parts, where uniformity and repeatability of the thermal cycle are essential. For these applications we offer:

  • Temperatures up to 300 °C with oil in a closed circuit.
  • Controlled heating and cooling ramps, to follow the thermal cycle of each part and protect the tooling.
  • Repeatable cycles: settings are saved and repeated in every production run.
  • Data logging to document every cycle.

From water at 90 °C to oil at 300 °C

We choose the fluid and temperature to suit each process, from five technologies: water with an open tank up to 90 °C, pressurised water WDC up to 140 °C, oil with an open tank up to 150 °C, pressurised water WIC up to 180 °C and oil in a closed circuit up to 300 °C.

A temperature control unit for every sector

As well as the chemical, aerospace and plastic injection moulding industries, our industrial temperature control units are used in sectors such as rubber and silicone, food, laminating and printing, extrusion and wood.

FAQs

Why use a closed-circuit temperature control unit in a clean room?

Because with pressurised water or oil in a closed circuit, the fluid works without any contact with the room atmosphere.

What data does the temperature control unit log?

Real-time graphs of temperature, pressure and flow rate, alarms and USB data transfer, with OPC UA, RS-485 and 4–20 mA connectivity for integration into the plant.

What does a temperature control unit bring to the aerospace sector?

It controls the temperature of moulds and tooling up to 300 °C, with controlled heating and cooling ramps, repeatable cycles and data logging for every cycle.

Which sectors are MARSE temperature control units used in?

In plastic injection moulding, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, aerospace, rubber and silicone, food, lamination and printing, extrusion and wood, among others.
