ΔT control: precision and thermal load in real time
The difference between the flow temperature and the return temperature (ΔT) is a direct indicator of the thermal load of the process. SMART devices measure and display it at all levels of control.
He ΔT = T supply − T return It is a direct indicator of thermal load. SMART controls (Display and TouchScreen) measure and display it live, revealing restrictions, obstructions or leaks without additional instrumentation.
What is the ΔT
The equipment sends fluid at one temperature (impulsion) and receives it at another (return), because the process has given or removed heat. That difference is the ΔT.
And ΔT grande indicates that the fluid changes temperature a lot as it passes through the consumer; a ΔT small, that the entire surface sees practically the same temperature.
The ΔT as charge indicator — at all levels
Many controllers regulate and display only the delivery temperature, leaving the actual thermal load out of the operator's view. SMART controls—both Display (TG121) as TouchScreen (TG111)— measure and show impulsion and return, and with them the ΔT in real time.
A change in ΔT instantly reveals a process variation—flow restriction, partial blockage, or leak— without additional instrumentation.
The relationship between caudal y ΔT
For the same thermal load, more flow reduces the ΔT (the fluid passes faster and changes less); less flow increases it. The pump consumption, on the other hand, increases with the flow.
That is why SMART devices can be equipped with variable speed pump, which adjusts the flow to real demand instead of always working at maximum.
Four pump modes variable speed
The frequency converter (available in TouchScreen equipment, depending on the pump model) modulates the speed in real time according to the process demand. It can be programmed in four ways:
Thermoregulation with ΔT under control
Tell us your process and we will size the equipment and regulation: delivery/return measurement, variable pump and proportional cooling.
What measures and regulates SMART Series
All equipment measures and displays delivery, return, ΔT, pressure and flow. The external probe (TouchScreen) allows you to regulate the actual temperature of the mold, eliminating the influence of losses in hoses and pipes. The variable speed pump (TouchScreen, depending on the pump) works in four modes: pressure, flow, ΔT and pump %.
Common questions
What controls show ΔT?
Both the Display (TG121) and the TouchScreen (TG111): both measure flow and return and show the ΔT in real time.
What is the variable speed pump for?
To adjust the flow to the actual demand instead of working at maximum. It is programmed by pressure, flow, ΔT or % of pump (TouchScreen, depending on the model).
What does the external probe provide?
In TouchScreen, it allows you to regulate the actual temperature of the mold, not the outlet temperature of the equipment, eliminating the influence of losses in hoses and pipes.
